Bercut-ETL
Bercut-ETL is the Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet analyzer, intended for loopback performing in IP/Ethernet networks.
Key features
- Loopback at physical, data link, network and transport layers of the OSI model.
- Remote control via TELNET protocol.
- Loopback control via OAM protocol. Supported modes: passive, off.
Loopback
Bercut-ETL can be used for analysis in one of the following loopback modes:
- At the physical layer (L1) all the incoming traffic (with error frames) is being retransmitted back without changing.
- At the data link layer (L2) all the incoming traffic (without error frames) is being retransmitted back with swapping destination and source MAC addresses.
- At the network layer (L3) all the incoming traffic (without error packets) is being retransmitted back with source and destination IP and MAC addresses swapping.
- At the transport layer (L4) the incoming traffic (without error packets) is being retransmitted back with source and destination MAC and IP addresses swapping and source and destination TCP/UDP addresses swapping.
